NYAI Introduced "Reading Program" starting school Year 2009-2010

North York Allied Institute will now introduced “ B.R.I.G.H.T.” a pre-school reading program, and CARS Series, STARS Series, Extension in Reading, CARS Series II for grade school & high school reading program for school year 2009-2010.

This comprehensive assessment of reading strategies will pinpoints student’s needs like the following; identifies students weaknesses in 12 standards-based reading skills, encourages students to use higher-order thinking skills, builds comprehension skills for success on test, follows a progressive five-part lesson approach to ensure comprehension, and assess student’s proficiency in the 12 standard based reading skills.

The BRIGHT & CARS Series reading program will be incorporated in their current curriculum, starting school year 2009-2010.

North York Allied Institute will conduct seminar and training for English teachers, and admin staff for professional development instruction, e-training, program research and sample lessons. Parents are also encouraged to attend the free seminar that will be schedule on the 2nd week of May 2009 at NYAI.
